Bethany
Master Stylist
Bethany opened Laboratorie in November of 2010 realizing a goal set forth at the beginning of her career ten years earlier. She was a stylist at Balance the Salon for eight years and, over the course of her career, has continually sought advanced education to refine her craft. In constant pursuit of technical excellence and inspiration, Bethany has most recently studied at the Sassoon Academy in Chicago. She has also participated in education with the Redken Exchange in NYC, Toni & Guy, Wella, Modern Organic Products and American Crew, as well as attending many other local and regional classes. With a lifelong background and education in art, Bethany is passionate about color, composition and innovation. She enjoys utilizing her extensive knowledge of color theory to solve even the most perplexing color challenges and uses her eye for design to purposefully place color and create shapes that accentuate the unique beauty of each of her clients.

Rebecca
Master Stylist
Rebecca's creative spirit first led her to study fine art photography. Ultimately choosing to use her knowledge of color theory and the fundamentals of design to pursue a career in hairstyling, she completed an apprenticeship at Lola Jones Inc. Rebecca then moved on to Balance the Salon where she spent nearly eleven years-- ten of them as the educator for all new talent hired by the salon. Rebecca has always been committed to her own education participating in advanced training at the Sassoon Academy in Santa Monica and Miami, Toni & Guy and the Redken Exchange in New York City, as well as classes with Modern Organic Products, Sebastian International, Haircolor USA, American Crew, and many others. Rebecca believes each individual presents a fresh canvas where she may utilize her years of experience, technical skill and creativity to compose a personalized work of art. Her dynamic approach to hairstyling has garnered Rebecca many accolades throughout her career including Baltimore City Paper's Best Hairstylist.

Natalie
Advanced Stylist
Natalie is a 2006 graduate of Xcell Academy, A Paul Mitchell Partner School in Vestavia Hills, Alabama. After graduating, she spent the next several years working in top salons in the Birmingham area while continuing to hone her skills through pursuing advanced education. Natalie has twice attended the Paul Mitchell Signature Gathering and had the honor of participating in one on one training with Paul Mitchell World Artistic Director Robert Cromeans. She has also studied at the Loreal Advanced Academy in Soho, NYC and benefited from many advanced cutting and color classes with Aveda. Natalie's dedication to her own education has made her the well rounded, talented stylist she is today. She enjoys working with hair of all textures, including extremely curly and coarse hair. Natalie strongly believes in educating clients about properly caring for their hair and creates highly personalized cuts and color that allow individuals to fully embrace their natural hair texture.
